Affirmations can be then made from any negative experiences. Some useful affirmations are:
My physical body is a pleasant and wonderful vehicle for my full and free self expression.
My mother and father, family and friends love and appreciate me I no longer feel unwanted.
The Universe rejoices at my presence in it.
The Universe is singing in my atoms
I love myself, therefore others love me
I am willing to accept love and stop resisting
It is safe to surrender to love
I always get what I want and I only want good things for me
I only attract loving, good people
I no longer suppress my feelings, I express my feelings to others easily
I forgive myself completely. I am innocent.
My body is young and healthy and I am healed
My negative patterns are now dissolving effortlessly
My past is complete. Everything is resolving itself harmoniously
All my past relationships are now clearing up easily and pleasurably
The more self esteem I have the less jealousy I have
I am a beautiful loveable person, and I deserve love
Every day and in every way I am more and more able to receive
All of my relationships are now loving, lasting, and harmonious
The more beautiful my thoughts are the more beautiful people I attract

Now turn these negative thoughts such as "I hate my body" to a positive affirmation such as "I love and respect my body" or "I am a wonderful, healthy human being". Then write this affirmation fifty times on a piece of paper. Totally concentrate on writing the affirmation and really mean it. If you feel you do not believe this new affirmation after fifty times you may need to look at why. Write down the reasons why you do not believe this affirmation. Then tear it up and try again. If this does not work you may need help on a deeper subconscious level with hypnotherapy as to why you cannot believe in your new affirmation. Many blocks are revealed in this process. Do not be too hard on yourself but above all be honest.
